I had lost hope last month and just spent a month not trying to change anything on the site but then about 15 days in I decided to take action and changed the permalink structure to better showcase where each piece of content sits within the site as a whole.
This came with some issues as 500 posts are hard to redirect when you change this vast structure and I have changed loads but still found ones I missed and with a 404 management process I look for those and then create the redirect.
I by no means am done blogging but this does highly make me suspect the old mantra from non-SEOs of “find long-tailed keywords” and just sling at whatever seems winnable approach from Income School just isn’t viable anymore. Instead, the newer approach is angling towards the TASS methods and Affiliate Lab.
Content Production For NSP1 In February 2024
I am working on adding 30 posts this month and getting the machine back in order now that I have a better permalink layout and have added back in a breadcumbs for users to search around with if they like the content.
My old idea was to push for Q4 with Koala to generate “best” and “review” content to grow the affiliate income. But until I really fix the ranking and traffic problems with the main site this has to be pushed back to the side, the groundwork doesn’t feel solid so it needs repair first.
Income For NSP1 In February 2024
This month’s income was down again versus last month but at least this time it was somewhat anticipated as shorter month, changed permalinks, and reworking older content. Overall, February income dropped to $12.50, with Amazon earnings moving up from basically dead to $6.85, meaning this site has hopefully found its floor and the only way forward is then upwards.

This month was still just piling on the pain. This looks like it could be November or December of 2024 or even 2025 instead.
I am pretty near to a 90% loss in provided traffic since the HCU, while you can be depressed being smart and growing your site is the better and more adult approach instead of sulking.

The Google Search Console numbers have been terminal after the HCU. I have no current answers for you and I am still looking at everything and trying to figure out what isn’t working or if it’s just due to multiple back-to-back Google updates. (With more still happening)

Ezoic NicheIQ Pagebooster Results For NSP1 In February 2024
I have been using Ezoic’s NicheIQ and PageBooster tools to help me see what Google has ranked well and found valuable and where I am taking hits to overall traffic volume. I will continue adding more content NicheIQ suggested that I should be able to rank while having high volume.
As you can see below, I am doing decent, as most of the content is still stable. After all the issues from the HCU to caching I feel like maybe I am hitting my actual floor and growth is what may come later 2024.
I am continuing to check out those posts and pages and specifically look at them versus the top 10 in the SERP currently to understand where I may be lacking.
Amazon Performance For NSP1 In February 2024
As I have stated before, traffic plummeting around 90% demolished all the income potential from Amazon or other affiliates and until I can get traffic moving upward again I can’t worry too much about monetization.
I was using Lasso for the non-Amazon content, but have canceled since it is a cost that can’t be paid when traffic doesn’t dictate getting that same value out of a huge monthly cost.

The performance given the HCU hit is saddening as it has only declined with each continually applied algo update. I know this niche can be highly seasonal so this one–two punch hurt more as I now can’t tell how seasonal the niche is.

My income growth using the Humix video setup has stagnated with the loss in traffic. I would have had better performance this month but with the visits tanking the results are down at a lowly $3.56 from Video.
This will hopefully begin to grow once more as I take time to make videos for my content, either from regular video or Flickify from Ezoic, a fantastic AI tool to convert your posts into consumable video content!
