Well, this month was a breakout on the traffic side as well as the income side as it has broken the $200 earned in a month mark with the Amazon and display ad income!
We are cruising into the end of year one shortly and I am excited to see where the site goes as it ages with more content and more guides and content aimed to truly help the visitor, whether buying-focused or not.
Content Production For The Month
I hit the gas pedal hard and added 73 posts and 123k words to the site as I wanted to break the 300 posts mark to keep to the goal of 500 posts before the end of the calendar year.
This content is highly focused on specific subjects with no topic getting less than 50 posts on it in general to ensure I have some form of topical coverage overall with beginner, intermediate, and advanced keywords covered.
Income For The Month
The site made $200.97 overall for the month which is outstanding on a new website, especially one not focused on building links and not very monetized!
This next month I plan to continue growing the content but focusing on producing more money content focused on the “bext xx for yy”, “versus”, and “reviews” of gear to start growing the income potential.
I want my sites to be at least a 50/50 split on ads versus affiliates so right now we are way off that mark and I want to balance out the revenue sources to better stabilize income month to month.
Analytics
It’s not frequent to see a 133% growth month on month and I am exceedingly excited about this meteoric increase as this marks multiple months of over 100% growth!
I did correct an issue with the new GA duplicating pageview counts which is why the bounce rate changed so dramatically but I have always focused on users over pageviews as a metric.
This will make for messy stats regarding pageview for a bit to come but with the oncoming forced change to GA4 by Google in June I had to start implementing this to be ahead of the curve.
Keyword Performance
This was an outstanding month of growth, with a growth of 14 posts taking over the top 3 positions the traffic should just continue to grow.
I also added a MASSIVE 26 positive increase in the top 10 which means the first page of Google. This is where you want every post to end up at a minimum as this is where you will get eyeballs and a chance for a real click.
Amazon Performance
This month I decided to add on Lasso as a way to test out how it can help me to convert affiliate offers overall including the vast options outside Amazon that exist and pay out 8-12% per sale.
I think it is pretty expensive as it costs double what I made on Amazon this month but with the ability to make better sales on the off Amazon and have them appear the same as Amazon links I think will help conversions.
Ezoic Performance
As the traffic continues to explode the income grows right alongside, the performance on Ezoic is solid with a nearly $20 EPMV, and with growing traffic, this means if I can grow to 50k-100k page views, I may be able to reach levels around $30-40 EPMV easily, which is exciting.
